We're pinching ourselves (again) over here at Studio 790 because we have some INCREDIBLE news to share...our work is featured in the September/October issue of HGTV Magazine!
Yes, you read that right. HGTV MAGAZINE. The printed magazine that we’ve all loved and admired for years! And this is not our first time...it's our third if you can believe it. We still can't, tbh.
It feels like just yesterday we were flipping through their very first issue back in 2012, dreaming of the day our work might grace those glossy pages. And now, here we are, seeing one of our favorite projects—a stunning Coral Gables home—right there in the September/October 2024 issue! This could not be possible without the incredibly talented team of designers! This project was led by our amazing Lead Designer, Pam Marmolejo with the leadership and styling support and love from our Junior Designers Billy De La Cruz and Gaby Alvarez. They are the heroes of this project without question! From design ideation to client management, color selection to curated products, this design team blew it out of the water. So much so that a national publication asked to feature the project!
Why this means SO much to us?
Honestly, this is more than just a feature. This is a dream come true. Like so many of you, we’ve spent countless hours glued to HGTV, paging through every one of their magazines, watching every flip, every “love it or list it” moment, obsessing over Property Brothers, (ahem they are featured in the cover and the magazines latest guest editors!!) and of course, Trading Spaces (who else loved that show?!). To be recognized by a brand that has been an inspiration to us from day one is a full-circle moment for our team. To have our team of designers work together and make this possible? It's a DREAM!
Let’s talk about the Featured Project
The project HGTV Magazine chose to feature is close to our hearts. Set in the vibrant, historical neighborhood of Coral Gables, we had the honor of working with a client who shares our deep love for color. The star of the space? A gorgeous built-in bathed in Sherwin-Williams’ Faded Flaxflower, a soft, pale blue that complements the warm mustard hues in the room, creating a space that feels both calming and charming.
The best part? Surprising our client!
One of the most joyful moments in this whole experience was getting to surprise our client with the news! Imagine how thrilled they were when we revealed that their beautiful home had made it into HGTV Magazine! The look on their faces was priceless, and we couldn’t have been more excited to share that moment with them.
It’s these kinds of experiences—where we get to make our clients’ dreams a reality and then celebrate with them in such a big way—that truly make what we do so rewarding. Their excitement only added to ours, making this feature even more special.
We are beyond grateful for this feature and want to thank everyone who has supported us on this journey. If you’re curious about the full story behind the project and want to see more photos of the transformation, grab a copy of the September/October issue of HGTV Magazine!
