The Brief: Take Everything Off My Plate
Our client had just purchased a townhome in Miami and came to us with a clear vision and an equally clear ask. As a busy professional, he didn't want to manage furniture decisions, coordinate deliveries or oversee installation. He wanted to trust us with the entire process and walk into a finished home for the very first time once everything was completely ready.
No boxes. No unfinished corners. No running list of things he still needed to buy.
Just home.
The home needed to work for his full life, sophisticated and elevated for him, warm and personal for his two daughters. We wanted it to feel like a really great bachelor pad, but not a stereotypical one. Cool, polished, comfortable and effortless. The kind of home that feels complete the moment you walk in.
The Design Concept: Intentional Without Feeling Overly Designed
We started where we always start with the person who would actually live there.
Our client wanted something sophisticated and masculine but still approachable and comfortable for time with his daughters. That balance became the foundation for everything. The overall design leaned into tailored furniture, warm woods, layered neutrals, richer grounded accents, soft textures and clean strong silhouettes.
Rather than creating a masculine feeling through color alone, we used texture, contrast and materiality to do the work. The result was a home that felt rich and grounded without ever feeling heavy or dark.
Every Room, Its Own Personality
The common spaces leaned fully into his style polished, tailored and quietly confident. His daughters' rooms gave us a chance to bring in more softness and individuality. Each space had its own personality while still feeling like it belonged within the same home.
That cohesion is one of the hardest things to get right in a full home design. When it works and at Biscayne No. 10 it really worked you feel it the moment you walk from room to room. Nothing feels like an afterthought. Everything belongs.
The Real Challenge: Designing Without a Safety Net
Here's something most people don't think about when it comes to turnkey design: it requires a completely different level of decision making from the designer.
Because our client trusted us fully with the process, we couldn't rely on constant back-and-forth feedback to guide us. We had to make confident calls, anticipate his needs and think about the entire home as one complete story from day one.
That level of trust is a gift and a responsibility. We took it seriously.
Every decision was made by asking: does this feel like him? Does this work for his daughters? Is this home complete? Not just beautiful complete.
What Turnkey Design Actually Looks Like
People often think turnkey means picking out furniture. It doesn't.
Turnkey design means thinking beyond the big pieces and anticipating all of the little things that make a home feel finished. Does every room have enough lighting? Is the artwork handled? Are the beds styled? Are the accessories in place? Is there anything the client will immediately feel is missing the moment they walk in?
A true turnkey home should feel effortless when the client arrives even though a tremendous amount of thought went into making it feel that way. That's the work nobody sees. And honestly? It's some of our favorite work to do.
The Moment We Knew

Installation day. That was it.
Once the artwork was hung, the beds were made, the accessories were placed and all of the finishing layers came together Biscayne No. 10 stopped feeling like a newly purchased property and started feeling like his home.
That shift is everything. It's what we chase on every single project. And standing in that townhome, looking at the space as a whole for the first time we felt it. Completely.
The Reveal
Because our client had trusted us throughout the entire process, he got to experience his home almost like a true reveal walking in for the first time to a space that was polished, personal and completely ready for him and his daughters.
We wanted his first thought to be: "This feels like me." And then, relief.
Because at Studio 790 we believe that luxury isn't only about beautiful furniture or elevated finishes. Sometimes luxury is simply having someone take care of everything for you. Walking in, putting your bags down and just enjoying your home without a single thing left on the list.
That's what we gave him. And that's what we design for. Every time.
