HGTV Magazine covers: a green dresser with flowers and pink lamp, and a teal Miami kitchen with stools and bold text.

We’re pinching ourselves over here at Studio 790 because we have some very exciting news to share… we’re back in HGTV Magazine!

This time, one of our most colorful and personality-filled projects, The Chromatic Casa, is featured and we could not be more honored to see this joyful home celebrated on a national stage.

At Studio 790, we believe every home should feel deeply personal. It should tell your story, reflect the way you live, and bring a little bit of joy into your everyday routine. The Chromatic Casa is such a beautiful example of that philosophy: bold, expressive, warm, and completely custom to our client.

A Full-Circle HGTV Moment

Being featured in HGTV Magazine for the FOURTH time is always such a special milestone for our team. As designers, HGTV has been part of our world for years, the magazine pages we’ve admired and collected for endless inspiration.

So to see Studio 790’s work included once more feels incredibly meaningful.

Our previous HGTV Magazine feature was such a proud moment for our studio. This new feature feels just as exciting, especially because The Chromatic Casa represents so much of what we love about design: color, creativity, personality, and spaces that feel anything but ordinary.

It is also a true Studio 790 moment: a project that reflects our mission to create a home that feels elevated, livable, and deeply personal.

Meet The Chromatic Casa

Bright modern kitchen with teal bar stools, wood cabinets, patterned backsplash, and yellow chair in a white open-plan space

The Chromatic Casa began with a client who had a true love for art, vibrant color, and mid-century design. She wanted her kitchen and bathrooms to feel joyful and expressive, while still being timeless, functional, and easy to live in every day.

The result is a home full of character.

Inspired by Miami’s coastal surroundings, the kitchen embraces a bold palette of blue, turquoise, yellow, brass, walnut, and warm neutral tones. Together, these colors create a space that feels fresh, vibrant, and unmistakably connected to its Miami setting.

Warm walnut cabinetry creates a rich, grounding foundation, while a cobalt blue island brings in a bold and unforgettable focal point. Mint green barstools, golden yellow dining chairs, brass lighting, terrazzo-inspired flooring, and sunburst-patterned tile all come together to create a space that feels playful, layered, and intentional.

Beyond the color story, the kitchen was designed with both beauty and function in mind. Custom flat-front walnut cabinetry, built-in shelving, and a quartz peninsula make the space feel tailored, practical, and polished. It is the kind of kitchen that instantly makes you smile.

A Playful Point of View

One of our favorite things about The Chromatic Casa is the way it balances bold design with everyday livability. The kitchen has a playful point of view, but every element was selected with intention.

Statement tile, lacquered stools, sculptural lighting, cheerful dining chairs, warm wood, and brass accents all bring energy and personality to the space. The result feels colorful and expressive without ever feeling overwhelming.

That is the magic of this project: it proves that color can be sophisticated, playful spaces can still feel elevated, and personality can be designed in a way that lasts.

Bathrooms with Personality

The bathrooms continue the same joyful design story, each with its own unique personality.

One bathroom features blush-pink herringbone tile, a navy vanity, brass accents, and patterned flooring that echoes the kitchen’s graphic energy. The second bathroom brings in a slightly calmer palette with warm wood, white hexagonal tile, teal geometric floors, and polished brass details.

Together, they show how color and pattern can feel elevated, personal, and completely livable.

That balance is what we love most: bold design that still feels thoughtful, warm, and enduring.

Why This Feature Means So Much

To us, this feature is more than just a magazine moment. It is a celebration of our clients, our team, and the creative trust that allows projects like this to come to life.

The Chromatic Casa is proof that a home does not have to be neutral to feel timeless. With the right balance, color can be sophisticated. Patterns can be polished. And a space can feel both elevated and full of heart.

We are so grateful to HGTV Magazine for featuring this project, and even more grateful to our wonderful client for trusting us to bring such a vibrant vision to life.
