Hi friends and family! Meet the team is back.
I promised you'd meet the ladies of AUID one by one, and this week I'm going to be introducing you to the second member of our team BUT, my first official hire. Caro holds a special place in my heart for many reasons but one is that she and I shared one of the most special moments on a stage in front of thousands of women at a Vous Girl event. And little did we know God would have us working together just months later!
Without further ado, here is our digital marketing and project coordinator at AUID, Carolina Burgess!
Hi! My name is Carolina Burgess AKA Caro. I'm a born & raised Miami girl. I just got married a couple of months ago and we're very much enjoying all the newlywed bliss! I earned my Bachelor of Arts in Communications at FIU and I absolutely love my job in digital marketing and project management at AUID! I love writing for work and in my personal life, and I'm a self-proclaimed spelling queen LOL. I love traveling, hanging out with my friends and family, serving on the worship team at VOUS Church and getting to participate in community outreach.
How did you meet Ann?
I met Ann on stage at a VOUS Girl event. It was the most incredible night! There were three women on stage sharing their testimonies, including Ann, and I was leading worship. Months went by before we spoke again (God is funny like that...) until our mutual friend, Angel, referred me to her to work for her. She was looking for someone to come in and help with marketing/administrative work. Long story short, we had a great conversation on the phone and I started working for her a week later! And it's been awesome ever since.
What's your favorite thing about working at AUID?
My favorite thing about working at AUID is working with three powerhouse, incredible boss women and getting to play a small part in helping people create their dream homes.
What attracts you to the field of Interior Design?
Making your home beautiful and comfortable has become more important than ever; especially after 2020! My favorite thing is seeing the incredible home transformations and watching people fall in love with their homes again.
2021 is in full effect - tell us your peak and pit so far!
My peak has been going back to in-person church services and my pit is HOW FAST THE TIME IS GOING!
Covid has been hard - really hard. But it also has come with some surprise blessings. Tell us something that has been GOOD for you during this pandemic!
During COVID, I have to say, I've been extremely blessed. I started working for Ann, graduated from FIU with my bachelor's degree, and got married!
If you could only eat one food for the rest of your life, what would it be?
Tacos and margaritas, without a doubt!
What is one social media account you follow and CANNOT live without?
Right now I'm really loving @the.orange.home and @parachutehome but my all time fave is @annuenointeriordesign ;)
If you could travel anywhere in the world right now, where would you go and why?
I'd jet off to Italy and Greece for at least two weeks!
What is your enneagram?
My enneagram is a 2 - the Helper. It's me to a T. Twos are known to be friendly, generous, and self-sacrificing, but are also pretty sentimental and people-pleasing.
