When we first stepped into this historic home, it was clear that the bones were beautiful. The recent remodel (completed by Marcel Mastrogiacomo) honored the original architecture while giving it a clean, neutral base—soft plaster walls, creamy textures, and timeless archways. But something was missing: a sense of personal touch and the feeling of finished.
That’s where we came in.
This Miami Shores home styling project was all about bringing warmth, personality, and cohesion to a space that was almost—but not quite—there. And it all started with one meaningful piece: our client’s grandmother’s cabinet.
Lovingly repainted in a green-blue hue, the cabinet held both sentimental and stylistic weight. It became our North Star. We let that tone and the hand-painted cement tiles in the dining room—set the color palette for everything that followed.

Our Home Styling Project Strategy
Let existing elements and architecture guide the palette.
Rather than introducing bold new colors or statement pieces for the sake of impact, we built a story around what already mattered. The green-blue from the cabinet and dining tiles reappears in throw pillows, florals, and artwork, giving the space a thoughtful, lived-in rhythm.

Build around a neutral base (and let the outside be your muse)
The beauty of a neutral, organic backdrop is the freedom it offers.
We layered in natural textures, soft greens, and subtle warm tones—mustard, blush, terracotta—through textiles, ceramics, and accessories that brought the space to life without overwhelming it.

Honor the home’s history
Capitalizing on the existing architecture and design made all the difference.
We were intentional about layering in pieces that nodded to the past: vintage-inspired ceramic vessels, woven baskets, and hand-crafted decor that felt like they could’ve been part of the home’s original story, even though they’re newly sourced.

Be intentional with repetition
Cohesion doesn’t happen by accident. By repeating key colors and finishes throughout the home, we created a sense of flow. A green pillow here, a glazed vase there, a splash of mustard in the artwork—it’s all connected.
Edit, always
This project wasn’t about maximalism. It was about meaningful restraint. Every item was chosen with care, every corner designed to feel calm, not cluttered. The result? A space that feels warm, inviting, and unmistakably personal.
