Things are about to get really good at Studio 790 Interior Design.
We’re stepping into what we believe will be our best chapter yet and part of that momentum comes from learning, growing, and challenging ourselves as leaders.
Recently, our Founder, Ann Lopez, along with our team, attended the Global Leadership Summit (GLS)—an experience she’s valued since her corporate career, and one she now brings into her role as a business owner. The leadership lessons weren’t just inspiring; they’re shaping the way we lead our team, serve our clients, and grow our vision for the future.
Here are 10 leadership lessons we’re carrying forward:
1. Everyone wins when a leader gets better. Strong leadership doesn’t just impact the leader, it raises the bar for the entire team, every project, and every client experience.
2. Conferences are worth it. Yes, it’s hard to step away from the day-to-day. But the perspective, energy, and ideas you gain? Worth it a thousand times over. (Ann is heading to her third Tony Robbins Business Mastery this week!)
3. Keep investing in what works. GLS has been a 10/10 experience year after year, both in Ann’s corporate days and now as a business owner.
4. Consistency + faithfulness x time = lasting impact. Craig Groeschel reminded us that real change doesn’t happen overnight, it’s built brick by brick.
5. Leaders, make room. Sometimes less is more. Removing the unnecessary creates space for what truly matters.
6. Focus on the process before the outcome. As Coach Nick Saban says, perfect the process and the results will follow.
7. Pray to be a blessing, not just for blessings. True leadership is about serving others, not just advancing yourself.
8. Live like a diversified portfolio. Recalibrate often, and play the long game, both in business and in life.
9. Learn from the greats. John C. Maxwell delivered wisdom worth pages of notes. He’s a leadership GOAT for a reason.
10. Don’t fight fear in your head, get it on paper. Write it down. Once fear leaves your mind and meets the page, it loses its power.
Why This Matters for Studio 790
At Studio 790, leadership isn’t just about managing a team, it’s about vision, stewardship, and showing up with excellence for every client. These lessons are already influencing how we approach projects, collaborations, and the way we grow as a company.
And for us, growth isn’t just internal, it’s about helping other interior designers grow, too. That’s why we created Project to Profits, our 8-week digital marketing course for interior designers who want to turn every finished project into a client-attracting machine.
Just like strong leadership compounds over time, so does smart marketing. Project to Profits gives you the repeatable system we use in our own studio to:
Amplify your portfolio across multiple high-impact platforms
Attract aligned, high-paying clients
Build a marketing engine that works for you 24/7
Because the best leaders don’t just learn for themselves, they share what works so others can win, too.
We’ll keep leading with faith and trust because when we get better, everyone we serve wins!
Want to grow as a leader yourself? We highly recommend attending the next Global Leadership Summit. It’s the best $150 you’ll ever spend and yes, you are a leader.
